The most important person in the world

It’s been awhile. Sorry I haven’t been very available. You know life kinda sorta got in the way. Still, I thought it might be time to check in. You seem a little uncertain lately and I want to make sure you don’t lose focus.

You will meet a lot of people that have all sorts of expectations of you. Others will offer up all kinds of suggestions. You will read stories and articles intended to help you navigate your life. Guides, mentors, friends, lovers, all will have opinions. Society will push you in certain directions. The culture you grow up in will inform your decisions. Parents and siblings will influence your thoughts and actions. And that’s all okay.

This is your life. The truth is, you’re here for only one reason. That reason is to have a unique experience of life. It’s perfectly okay to listen to the gurus. And your parents, friends, lovers and teachers. But in the end, it’s your life to lead. And lead you must. Because if you don’t, someone is going to come along and make your choices for you. Is that what you really want? To live the life someone else chose for you?

Please, listen to me. This is more important than anything else anyone will ever tell you.

You get to choose how your life will unfold. There will always be a path of least resistance. And the truth is, that may be the path you want to take. There’s nothing wrong with that. But, if you have a dream, I’m here to tell you, it’s your responsibility to chase it. Nobody else is going to push you. No one really cares. Not enough to help you get where you want to go. Unless and until, you show them what you intend to achieve.

People love a winner. And they will help you get there. But it’s imperative that you show them where you intend to go. Give them that and they will remove all the barriers keeping you from your dream. The universe has your back. But it needs to know that you’re serious. If you have a dream, all it takes is the commitment to achieve it and the doors will open. It’s a lot easier than you might think. Just give it a try.
