Early on in the creation of this republic, Ben Franklin said:
"We must all hang together, or, most assuredly, we shall all hang separately."
As a nation, it would appear that a substantial number of us have chosen to ignore those poignant words. If we don't start electing representatives who believe in a united states, I fear more of this "rugged individualism" will destroy what the founders envisioned. And we will have no one to blame but our collective selves.
