Forever, on offer
A Poem
Place your faith in my hand
and waltz with me?
I promise
an existence like no other
For we shall skip
across the plane of Andromeda
And gently kiss
as we pass
the tip of Orion’s bow
A dervish whirl
between the wings of a Butterfly
will hurl us through
the Pillars of Creation
And we will dance
across light years and eons
as time itself pauses to watch
this union that births new stars
and trails comets in its wake
unleash from your soul
all of its preconceptions
and embrace
the thrum of eternity
as our energies intertwine
With just a little two-step
and a chorus of star-song
We’ll conceive a nascent Universe
And fill it completely
with the primal melody of love
