Fragments
A poem

You left.
You didn’t want to go.
But it was your time.
And I didn’t know how to be without you.
So I tried to replace you.
But that didn’t work.
So I tried again.
And that didn’t work either.
Because no matter how many pieces of people I put together.
I will never have another you.
So I must build a whole me.
From the little pieces I have left of myself.
After you left.
And took so much of me with you.
