I think this is a big fantasy. Even if, given the hit I took on my investments, it sounds nice. First, I think the Covid-19 outbreak is going to linger on a lot longer than early May. Maybe we will be able to open up a bit but given the slow lockdown to contain it, it’s going to keep popping up.

As for addressing the deficit, please tell me when, in the last 40 years a Republican administration did anything to address that? They live in a fantasy world where cutting taxes increases revenue. And that has never happened. The only time Republicans even mention outsized deficits and attempt to address debt is when a Democrat is at the helm. There will be no attempt to get a handle on the deficit as long as Trump is in office.
