My wife followed her calling early on too. And I know she enjoyed her job and her life much more than I have (most of the time). So, I can’t help wondering which is the right way to do it?

Personally, I think we need to completely reevaluate our entire culture. Reimagine it, as one that doesn’t require making the choice between your money or your life. Education should be free (or nearly so). The basics of life should be easily obtainable (we’re unbelievably wealthy, in comparison to any other time in history, we just can’t seem to accept that we have enough). People should be able to follow their passions, without incurring a lifetime of debt. This winner-take-all society is an evolutionary dead end. I’m just afraid we may not be able to stop it before it’s too late.
