This speaks to a problem common to our entire culture. Too many old people (or people with old ideas) are staying in positions of power for too damn long.

Might I suggest we start in government? I’ve often thought there should be a mandatory retirement for everyone at the 20 year mark. Go find something else to do. It might open your mind (says the guy who’s been with the same company for 28 years now). I still think it’s a good idea. Too bad they let the companies raid the pension funds, I bet a lot of people would be happy to leave after 20 years if they could afford it.
