You’re now a success. The money doesn’t matter. The accolades don’t matter. Other people’s opinions of you don’t matter.
Western culture celebrates one measure of success: how much money you have. But it really doesn’t even begin to capture true worth. You measure that from within. And only you can measure what success is for you.
There’s nothing wrong with shouting it from the rooftops either. Happiness should be shared. But yeah, some people will be turned off by it. It’s not bragging though, it’s the success. It breeds envy. And that breeds resentment. Some people hate to see others succeed.
